Laxmi Intercontinental Pvt. Ltd., the exclusive distributor of Hyundai vehicles in Nepal, successfully hosted a launch event for the all-new Creta EV, along with a special Meet & Greet, at Bodhi Villa in Manigram, Butwal–Bhairahawa.

The Butwal–Bhairahawa event witnessed an overwhelming response, with record levels of customer engagement and interest. The trust and admiration for the Hyundai brand in the region were truly commendable. Adding to the event's success, over 30 bookings were confirmed for the Creta EV, with 10 units handed over to customers on the spot.

The introduction of the Creta EV represents a significant leap forward in addressing the common hesitations surrounding electric vehicle adoption. Concerns about spare parts, service costs, and long-term support are eased by the fact that Hyundai already assembles the ICE version of the Creta in Nepal, with both petrol and electric variants built on the same platform.

To further reinforce its EV ecosystem, Laxmi Hyundai is expanding its RE-Lax charging network, which now includes 66 operational chargers—both AC and DC—strategically placed across the country. This ensures consistent access to reliable service, spare parts, and after-sales support for both ICE and EV models.

The Creta EV is priced starting at Rs. 51,96,000, while the locally assembled Creta ICE begins at Rs. 53,96,000. The ICE model benefits from a price reduction of up to Rs. 9 lakh compared to the imported 2025 versions.

In Nepal, the Creta EV comes with a 42 kWh battery pack that delivers 99 kW (132 bhp) and offers a driving range of 390 km. It boasts a 200mm ground clearance and a breakover angle exceeding 17 degrees, the highest in its class, making it capable of handling light off-road terrains.

For safety, the Creta EV is equipped with advanced features such as ADAS, six airbags, and a 360-degree camera, providing comprehensive protection for all passengers.
